A game against the Houston Texans is every quarterbacks’ dream. They have couple of big names on defense, like Mario Williams, but they’re just never any good as a unit. Teams always score points and sling the ball around on their secondary. With Tim Tebow getting the starting job again this week vs. the Texans, he knows that he is playing right now for his future. If Tim finishes the season strong he will likely remain the starter in 2011… and the Texans are the perfect team for him to go against to pad the stats – and maybe win a game.
Tim has been working hard all week with the first team, trying to perfect his timing with the receivers. “We hit some of our goals last week, but we’ve got a lot of things to improve on,” Tebow said. “To win the game is always our biggest goal, and we weren’t able to do that.” Houston is 5-9 and has lost 3 games in a row.
So what do the Texans think of Tim? “I was very impressed,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. “He didn’t throw a bunch, but when he threw it, he threw it well. He’s a winner and brought some juice to their team.” He is also a threat to run the ball and is a major threat at the goal line.
If you’re in the fantasy football playoffs, you might consider starting Tim Tebow over some other QBs. Tim put up 24 points last week against a tough Raiders defense. I’d play him over guys like Cutler, Palmer, Garrard, Cassel, Freeman, Kitna, Bradford and a bunch of other starting QBs.
