Pro-Tebow Predictions on NFL Network Last Night…

For those who didn’t see the special 2-hour Total Access on NFL Network last night, Heath Evans-who wrote the column endorsing Tebow as starter that Buzzy posted today-was one of the 2 former NFL players on the show. The other was Darren Sharper. Towards the end of the show, Heath & Darren had to predict which teams they thought were wild card contenders. Not only was Darren’s #1 choice the Jets, but he said it would be done w/Tebow as the QB, & that he believes in Tebow! It’s so rare when someone w/any ‘legitimacy’ goes out on a limb to endorse Tim so enthusiastically (that is, before Tebow had a 4-game winning streak, of course) that my jaw literally dropped. Go Tebow! Go J-E-T-S!

Also, after Total Access last night, NFL Network had a special Game Day Preview Show w/the usual Game Day guys on it. At one point, the host-Rich Eisen-started to present 2 scenarios for the 1st quarter of the Jets/Bills game. The first scenario was the Bills play well & are up by 10 points, the 2nd scenario was that Sanchez comes out & ‘throws the ball around well’ & the Jets are ahead. At that point, one of the guys interrupted & said, ‘Who’s he going to throw to?’. And the other guys all nodded & agreed with the point he was making. In other words, except for Santonio Holmes, the receivers on this team won’t be winning awards. What they were basically saying was that this was going to have to become Tim’s team b/c they’re going to have to play TebowBall if they’re going to salvage the season w/the very limited offense they have. Just like the Broncos did last year.

This is getting exciting… :)
