Gators collect IWLCA, WomensLax.com honors
After another historic season for Florida, the awards keep coming in. WomensLax.com named Amanda O’Leary as the National Coach of the Year and chose four Gators as All-Americans.
Junior Mikey Meagher was named the site’s Goalie of the Year, and Kitty Cullen, Brittany Dashiell and Shannon Gilroy joined her as All-Americans.
Six Gators were also chosen to IWLCA All-South Region teams earlier this week.
Meager, Dashiell and Cullen were first-team picks by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and were joined by Sam Farrell. Jamie Reeg and Gabi Wiegand were named to the second team.
